Dr. Jun presented a poster entitled 'Smart nanocarrier strategies for precision agrochemical application'.
Hyuna presented a poster entitled 'Nanobionic sensor plants for real-time monitoring of VOC-mediated plant communication using surface-enhanced Raman scattering'.

ICMAT & Invited Seminar at NUS (Singapore)

12th International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies
30 June - 4 July 2025, Singapore
Prof. Kwak presented on 'Nanosensor for Real-time Monitoring of Plant Health' during the session titled "Advances in Nanosensing and Imaging Technologies for Biomedical and Environmental Applications."

Prof. Kwak had the wonderful opportunity to visit the National University of Singapore, where she delivered a talk on "Plant Nanobionics: A Sustainable Approach for the Future." During the visit, she engaged in fruitful discussions with Prof. Tedrick Lew and his research group, fostering collaboration and sharing innovative ideas in the field.

BK21 special seminar: Prof. Eleni Stavrinidou (Linköping University, Sweden)

Professor Eleni Stavrinidou visited Seoul National University and delivered a truly inspiring talk on plant bioelectronics and sustainable biohybrids in our department. We are grateful for the engaging discussion with our team and the valuable suggestions she shared regarding our ongoing work. Her insights have sparked new ideas and motivation for our research!

Dr. Jeon presented a poster titled "Optical nanosensors reveal lipid corona formation and spatiotemporal H2O2 signaling in plants.

Hyuna gave an oral presentation titled "pH-Responsive His6-SWNT nanocarriers for transient RNA delivery to enhance shoot regeneration in plant calli" and won the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award. Congratulations!

At the Pacifichem 2025 conference, Prof Kwak was invited to speak at the symposium on carbon nanotubes and low-dimensional materials.
She discussed her ideas for using nanotechnology in agriculture. In her talk, called “Nanotechnological approach for smart and sustainable agriculture: Plant health monitoring and engineering,” she explained how plant nanobionics could bring new changes to farming.
